13th Christmas Festival “Velyka Koliada”

Christmas Holidays play a huge part in religious life of all humans. Christmas traditions of Ukrainians are especially underlining the greatness of birth of Christ, who made a bond between The Sky and Earth by his presence between us. In all Christian families the celebration of Christmas is not only the religious thing, but also the traditional one: Christmas carols, Nativity Plays etc.
To raise the spiritual and cultural level of our nation, to save and develop Christmas traditions of our land, during many years in Dominican Church in Lviv, Muzeina square number 3, the Christmas festival “Velyka Koliada” is being held. Different kinds of choirs, family ensembles, vocal and instrumental ensembles, orchestra collectives, theatrical groups, solo artists are invited to participate in the festival.
Christmas festival “Velyka Koliada” aims to understand deeper and popularize Christmas traditions of all corners of Ukraine. This years’ festival encourages participants to perform Christmas carols, congratulations, felicitations etc.
